Short description of the project:
The project "Volunteer Forest" will increase the number of quality and sustainable volunteer programs and programs of volunteering and volunteering education in the less developed parts of the Zadar County. The project will strengthen the capacity of volunteer organizers to implement sustainable volunteering programs and strengthen the contribution of volunteering in carrying out activities for social and economic growth and a participatory model of development.
Target groups of the project: Civil Society Organizations (OCDs), educational and public institutions and their employees, high school students and volunteers.
Objectives and expected results of the project:
Increasing of the number of quality and sustainable volunteer programs and programs of school volunteering and volunteering education in the less developed parts of Zadar County.
Main activities of the project:
– Preparation and implementation of the program of volunteering and volunteering education in the cooperation of local Civil Society Organizations (OCDs) and Obrovac High School and their inclusion in the school curriculum;
– "Volunteer Management" education (training for Civil Society Organizations volunteer coordinators and employees of educational and public institutions);
– Organizing a Festival of Volunteering;
– Activities to promote volunteering among target groups and the public;
– Promotion and visibility.
Project implementation area:
The towns of Benkovac and Obrovac and the municipalities of Posedarje, Novigrad and Poličnik
Project Implementation period:
June 1, 2017 - November 30, 2018
Total project value: 759.857,25 HRK
The project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund and the Office for the Associations of the Croatian Government in the amount of 100%.
