Brief description of the Project:
The ECOSCAPE project, through its implementation, will offer solutions for the conservation of biodiversity in agriculture, as well as train farmers and trainers in effective biodiversity management. An innovative solution in the project will be the BioCheck Application (augmented reality application). The app will help identify non-native species and offer specific plans for crop diversification, rotation, natural pest control and zone-specific management strategies.
Main objectives of the Project:
The main specific objective is to build a link between agricultural production and biodiversity conservation. This involves engaging professors and researchers and training them to develop a customized course aimed at farmers. By implementing these management practices, farmers will not only ensure the production of safe and abundant food, but also contribute to the sustainable conservation of agricultural land microhabitats, thus achieving the secondary specific objective.
